SETUP
To run JChar Converter (and to browse this web site) correctly, your system needs to be able to DISPLAY Japanese characters on your browser.
To enable it, all you need is ideally to install Japanese fonts into your system.
Depending on your operating system or your web browser, this is done automatically when you open this web site.
When you open this web site:

• If you see a message box asking to install Japanese Language Package, do as instructed.
• If you do not see any message box and do not see correct Japanese characters on JChar Converter, go to "Encoding" menu on your browser and select "Japanese: Shift-JIS." If you then see a message box asking to install Japanese Language Package, do as instructed.
• If you do not see any message box at all and still do not see correct Japanese characters on JChar Converter, check Help on your web browser to see how to enable Asian/Japanese character on the browser.

Again, your system/web browser only needs to DISPLAY Japanese characters; not to TYPE Japanese characters.
